New furniture is only part of making a child’s room inviting; bedding is the other part. Decorative comforters help liven up a room and kids choice are varied themes and colors. Most kids want an unusual room and bedding printed with dinosaurs would stand out from the rest. Dinosaur bedding would be complemented by dinosaurs painted on the walls and dinosaur stuffed toys.
Laundering bedding is always an issue and a lighter weight comforter will wash faster than a heavier more expensive one will. Down comforters are probably a poor choice for smaller children and their expense will be wasted.
Comforter construction is important and baffling will hold the insulation in place in a better comforter and will trap more air to keep you warmer than a simple quilted comforter that has the two sides simply sewn together. Quilted comforters are cheaper to purchase, but may have poor stitching holding them together that needs inspection to see that it is staying together. Close, tight stitches are the sign of a quality sewn comforter that will stay together and last a long time. Tight stitching will last the life of the comforter and loose stitching will let you down.
Dinosaur bedding lends itself to wild dinosaur prints and may be only meant for decorative use and nothing more. Dinosaur prints make for fun comforters and they may get used as television blankets or even placed on the floor as a play area. Comforters that are played with will need more often laundering than ones that only cover the bed. Inspect the laundering instructions before buying a bedding set and don’t make the mistake of bringing a dry clean only comforter home to a life of hard use.
